MatterPresent for Agents

Owners can start with photographs and build records with descriptions, identifying details, notes and history. They can add images of supporting documents, keep information about condition or service in their notes, and update records as they learn more.

People can use this context to remember, research, maintain, share or prepare to sell an object. Some records can be shared deliberately; a record alone does not make an owner's collection public.

A photograph can help software make a guess, but it may not identify the exact object, what its owner already knows, its history or what the owner wants to do with it. A record can include that additional context.

With authorized access to relevant information, an agent could help a person research an inherited watch, prepare to sell a guitar, consider what needs attention before a move or organize information for an insurance conversation. These are examples of potential uses, not a claim that MatterPresent automates all of them today.

Your agents are software you choose to work for you: for example, to research an object or help decide what to keep.

Outside agents act for another person or service, such as a potential buyer, insurer, mover or repair provider. They should not gain access to browse an owner's collection simply because their interests may be relevant.

MatterPresent is being designed as a controlled interface between an owner's records and outside services. In a future opt-in system, an outside agent could express an interest, request selected information, make an offer or propose a next step. The owner would decide whether to engage and what information, if any, to share.

For example, a buyer might be interested in a particular watch; a mover might need dimensions; a repair service might need a model and relevant service notes. Today, MatterPresent does not provide a public outside-agent matching or request interface. These are possible uses, not available endpoints or automated workflows.

Public discovery means that agents can find this description of MatterPresent. It does not mean that they can search private object records.

Private matching is a proposed model, not a live feature. An outside agent could describe what it seeks; MatterPresent could evaluate potential matches privately and present a relevant opportunity to an owner. Only if the owner chose to respond would selected information be exchanged. The underlying collection would not become a public directory.

Private by default; useful by permission. Any future outside-agent interaction should let the owner decide who receives which information, for what purpose and when. Authorization to use selected details must not be treated as unrestricted access to the rest of a collection.

Purpose-specific or time-limited agent permissions are design intentions, not controls currently offered here. Today, owners can deliberately create share links, while private pages and shared records remain subject to the site's access gate.

Information in a record may come from the owner, software-generated suggestions, photographs of documents and later corrections. Identification and derived information can be wrong and should be checked against the available evidence.

A MatterPresent record does not itself prove ownership, authenticity, provenance, market value, condition or insurance coverage. Software should not treat a record as independent verification of these claims.

Object records are not publicly searchable by default. Owners decide what to share. This informational page contains no object records, and visiting it does not grant access to any owner's data.

Account holders can export collection data as CSV. Account-scoped API keys exist for supported integrations, but public agent access, an MCP interface and public agent integration documentation are not currently available. Do not assume an agent can read private records without the owner's authorization and an available access method.
